Best Time to Run Errands

ORLANDO, Fla. (Ivanhoe Newswire) — If it seems like there isn’t enough time in the day to run your errands, maybe you should try changing the time you run them.

The average American takes 74 trips to the grocery store every year and studies show most of them go on a Saturday. But if you want to skip the line, go on the least busy days, which are Monday and Tuesday, and the least busy times, which are seven or eight p.m … right at dinner time.

Your gym workout can take twice as long when you have to wait in line for a machine. You’ll breeze right through your workout if you go during down time between two p.m. and six p.m. Studies also show your muscle strength, lungs and coordination are at their best during this time period giving you a more efficient workout.

And get your doctor’s appointments out of the way first thing in the morning. Studies show that 92 percent of doctors run late in the afternoon because of emergencies. If the office has multiple doctors, schedule with the newest partner or youngest doctor. They tend to have more open schedules and are sometimes more concerned with getting and keeping repeat patients.

And if you must hit the post office, the best time of day to avoid the crowds is 30 minutes after it opens or at ten a.m. You’ll miss the early morning rush during both times. It is busiest during lunch hour and at the end of the work day just before closing.
