La Rutina Del Dia A Dia Incorporada A La Enseñanza: Una Herramienta Para La Instruccion Temprana

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (Ivanhoe Newswire) — En el 2019, mas de 716 mil alumnos de pre escolar estaban inscritos en programas de educacion especial, pero solo un 38 por ciento los recibian como parte del programa escolar al que asistian. Hoy, analizamos una iniciativa de intervencion temprana que apoya el aprendizaje integrado en la actividad y rutina diaria en la escuela, el hogar y la comunidad.

Las oportunidades para que los padres enseñen a su hijos abundan. Cuando los niños aprenden a traves de actividades rutinarias, esto se conoce como educacion integrada. Una forma de enseñanza que puede beneficiar especialmente a los mas pequeños con alguna discapacidad o problema de aprendizaje. Patricia Snyder, PhD, es una profesora de la Universidad de la Florida. Indica que separar a los niños con problemas de aprendizaje de los otros estudiantes puede desembocar en que estos alumnos pasen su vida estudiantil en este tipo de programas segregados. Y esto a su vez indica impactara en una forma negativa su habilidad en el futuro para convertirse en miembros utiles de la comunidad.

En un estudio de 106 niños de prescolar con discapacidad, sus maestros aprendieron a implementar el aprendizaje integrado a traves de talleres, herramientas de enseñanza y practicas sobre el terreno. Sus alumnos presentaron mas facilidad de comunicación y menos problemas de conducta que los alumnos de maestros que no recibieron esa capacitacion. Los profesores pudieron continuar incorporando el aprendizaje integrado con nuevos alumnos el siguiente año. El usar la rutina diaria para enseñar se puede incorporar desde a las lecciones de arte hasta la hora de merendar. En la casa, los padres pueden convertir cada momento de la vida diaria en una oportunidad de aprendizaje, comparando el tamaño de las cucharas cuando se llena el lavaplatos, interpretando los letreros en la carretera, o incluso en el desayuno, leyendo la caja de cereal.

Aunque este estudio se concentro primordialmente en como los profesolres pueden integrar el aprendizaje en la rutina diaria, Snyder y sus colegas de la Universidad de la Floria estan desarrollando una capacitacion para los padres y la comunidad, llamado “Tools for Families.”
