In October of 2008 I went grouse hunting in Northern Minnesota on the Wisconsin border. I took my bird dog for a 10 day hunting trip. There were a lot of ticks that year. Upon my return I started feeling ill...I went to my Doctor who diagnosed me with a cold. This went on for several months. In April of 2009 my Doctor did a Lyme Disease test which I tested positive for...around this same time my hunting dog started to be lethargic, lost his appetite and would on occasion be lame. My Doctor prescribed a 21 day regime of Doxycycline for me and at first I felt dog continued to be sick on and off. My vet diagnosed him with Lyme Disease and prescribed Doxycycline. That December, after many treatments, my beloved hunting dog passed away from kidney failure due to all the medications. In the beginning I would have mostly good days with an occasional bad day or two, but now I do not have any normal feeling days and each week I feel a little bit worse.

For almost five years now I have had the following symptoms: exhaustion, headaches, extreme muscle pain, numbness on the left side of my face, a bad taste in my mouth but no sore throat, a flighty feeling in my mind, poor hand writing, insomnia, pounding of my chest (at night) and many other unexplained symptoms. During all of this I have been to over 20 doctors including neurologist, internists, osteopaths, rheumatologists, heart specialists, general practitioner, infectious disease and many others including several lyme specialists. I have had every test including a stress test, muscle biopsy, CK scan, CAT scan, MRI of my spine and MRI of my brain, heavy metals, spinal tap to check for MS, and I have had my blood drawn about 25 to 30 times. My SED rate is always normal. The only thing that is consistently off are my muscle enzymes. They have been as high as 1000 and usually in the 500 to 800 range. I have been low in vitamin D. My blood pressure is always normal and I weigh 178lbs at 6'. I do not smoke and I drink very little as that seems to make all my symptoms worse.

For the last four years I have been prescribed many different drugs to try and combat whatever this is and none of them have helped.

I appreciate any and all comments.
